Holidays are not only moments to remember and reflect on what we are grateful for, but to also give thanks to our precious Lord for all He has given us. Any season and any holiday is a time to not only remind ourselves, but others, to give gratitude where it is due. What are you thankful for today? Let us give praise to our Heavenly Father!
If the need for a miracle is what you are seeking most, whether in your own life, or in the life of someone you love, let us pray for you at the holiest place on earth, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We have faith that sending your prayer to the place where our Lord Jesus Christ gave his life for us will help your request be granted! It is our honor and privilege to be a prayer warrior for you, and to ask the Lord to watch over you, protect you, and keep you, always. Please submit your prayer request today.

Prayer for the Christmas Holidays
Christmastime is a time of reflection and gratitude. As Christians, we know that God has provided for us in countless ways throughout history. He has given us His son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. Through Him, we can experience eternal life and forgiveness.
As we prepare for the holidays, let’s remember to thank God for the blessings he has bestowed upon us. Let’s also remember those who are less fortunate and pray for their safety and happiness.
Here are some prayers for the holidays:
- Lord, please bless everyone who celebrates the birth of Your Son, Jesus. May they always remember the gift of salvation that was offered to them through his death. Lord, may they never forget the sacrifice made by Jesus on their behalf. Amen.
- May the peace of God reign over you and keep you safe. Father, I pray that you would watch over each person whom I care for. Please protect them from harm. Thank you for watching over me. Amen.
- Thank you, Lord, for sending Your only begotten Son into the world to die for our sins. Thank you for raising him from the dead. Thank you for forgiving us of our sins. Help us to follow in His footsteps and serve others. Amen.
Prayer of Thankfulness for the Birth of Jesus
Heavenly Father, we come before you to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We celebrate the miracle of God coming to earth as a baby. Because of His birth, He gave us the right to eternal life. During this Christmas season, help us to experience the story of the birth of Christ as though it were the first time we ever heard it. Allow us to watch, as wise men who daily commanded great respect, humbly traveled to a stable and knelt with gifts in hand before a baby who was Christ the King, Lord of Lords. Help us to remember to live our life proclaiming the great message of that night in our daily actions, not only during the Christmas season, but each and every day. Amen.
Prayer for Remembering the Reason for the Christmas Season
Lord, during all the hustle bustle of the holiday season, I want to stop and spend an intimate moment from time to time with you. You are the most important piece in my life. You are the beginning and the ending of each of my days, and you are the real reason for the Christmas season. Thank you for loving me, and giving me eternal life because of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Prayer for Easter and the Resurrection of our Lord
Jesus, you have overcome death, and conquered every fear imaginable. Please help me to live each day remembering that You are alive, and that you are bigger than any action or situation. The Lord is risen! In Him I delight in life. Amen.
Prayer for New Year’s Day
Lord, You make all things new, and You bring hope alive within our hearts. Thank you for the New Year, and for all the blessings and potential it holds. It is with sincere gratitude that I reflect on the past year, and praise your Holy Name for all that you gifted me. I look forward to what You have in store for me, and for those closest to me, this coming year.
Prayer for Thanksgiving
Lord, I want to thank you for walking with me, and those that I love, through the seasons of our lives. For the wintertime, we are held safe within your arms through the cold and darkness. In the hope of springtime, we are filled with new promise and a bountiful life each and every year. For summertime, with it’s days full of warmth and color. And for crisp, autumn days as colorful leaves fall to seed new growth. You are always with us in all things, and in all seasons. Amen.
