Faustina Kowalska was born in Poland on August 25, 1905. Faustina was a remarkable child who knew from an early age that she was called to have a religious life. At the young age of 20, she made the decision to join a convent in Warsaw. As she continued to grow and develop in her own faith and spirituality, she was blessed with inspiration to develop the Divine Mercy image. This unique image depicted Jesus and his holy and forgiving heart.
