Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you.” I decree and declare that “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm34:1 NKJV)
I am so grateful for God’s many blessings. I am thankful for my current job and my family. Dear God, Please anoint my thinking and assist me in making wise decisions. I trust You with my life. You know everything! Thank You for leading me to a better employment situation. I stand on your word in Psalm 32:8 (NKJV) decreeing and declaring your word that “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
Dear God, I pray for promotion and increase in my career, and for a healthy, handsome, loving, kind, man of God, wealthy and respectful husband from you and that my mother lives a healthy good life to see my children and teach them to grow to loving spirits.
Father God, I pray to fulfill your plans for me. For I decree and declare your word over my life, that I shall live and not die, but declare the works of the Lord. As such, I pray to become a successful host of NBC’s Today show.
For I decree and declare that it is true to me according to the word of God Psalms 119:25
Father God, I pray you bless me with a husband of my desire that we live together in perfect unity by loving, honoring and respecting one another and serving each other for Your glory, honor and praise! (1 Thessalonians 5:13)
I decree and declare Ephesians 4:32 that my husband to be and I, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” I Pray that God would bless the work of his hands, that he would enjoy his work, and see God glorified in all facets of his job. I Pray he would not make an idol or identity out of his work. When his work is toilsome, pray for endurance and perspective. [Psalm 90:17; Colossians 3:23]
I pray my husband will know and feel the seriousness of his wedding vows. Pray we both would not entertain lustful thoughts but take all thoughts captive for Christ. Ask God to establish a relationship of mutual trust and honesty between us.
2 Corinthians 10:5; Proverbs 20:6-7]
I decree and declare the following scriptures over my husband to be and me:
Purity – Colossians 3:5- Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.
I Ask the lord that my husband will be pure for all the right reasons: love, knowledge, and affection for Christ. I Pray that he will know that sin isn’t breaking a rule, but breaking a heart.
Healing– Psalm 147:3– He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds.
I pray that all have wounds, but God can bring a greater good out of every evil.
Mutual Forgiveness– 1 Peter 4:8– Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins.
I pray that love will be the source of all we do, when things are good and when they are hard.
Protection– Psalm 91:14-15– Because he clings to me I will deliver him; because he knows my name I will set him on high. He will call upon me and I will answer; I will be with him in distress; I will deliver him and give him honor.
I Invite the Holy Spirit to be a shield and guard over every aspect of my husband to be life!
Thanksgiving– Phil 1:3-6- I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy in my every prayer for all of you, because of your partnership for the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.
I Offer God gratitude for the vocation He has or will provide. Ask that my husband to be will be a vessel as God continues the good work He has begun in my husband to be.
Trust in the Lord– Phil 4:6-7- Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Stress isn’t from God. I Ask for the peace of Christ to envelop my husband to be.
Godly Marriage– Tobit 8:7– Now, Lord, you know that I take this husband of mine not because of lust, but for a noble purpose. Call down your mercy on me and on him, and allow us to live together to a happy old age. Bless us with children.
Covering Him From Head to Toe
Mind– Romans 12:2- Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.
I Pray for purity of mind for my spouse to be.
Eyes– Matthew 6:22-23- The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be.
I Ask for protection and triumph over anything that is not of good character
Mouth- Luke 6:45- A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil; for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.
I pray That my husband to be words will be proof that their heart is filled with the Lord.
Ears – John 10:27- My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
I pray that the Lord will make His voice known to my husband.
Heart– Psalm 73:6– Though my flesh and my heart fail, God is the rock of my heart, my portion forever.
I pray that the Lord will give both, my husband and me His heart to love one another.
Arms– Genesis 2:24– That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body.
As my husband and I cling to one another in the future, I pray that our embrace will always draw us closer to the Lord.
Feet– Psalm 37:31– God’s teaching is in his heart; his steps do not falter
I pray and Invite the Lord to guide the discernment of us in every aspect of our lives.
Ring Finger– Mark 10:9– Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.
Prayer Prompt: Pray for faithfulness in a faithless world. God wants to write your love story from now until death. Surrender your (future husband) along with your fears and pray that neither of you will ever forget that there are three members to your marriage!
Heavenly Father, as written in your word Psalms 119:25. It is true to me according to the Word of God… in the name of Christ Jesus of Nazareth, Amen.
